Lori A. Uhl, CPA
Treasurer
Lori has 16 years of financial accounting
experience. She joined USDI’s parent
company, Illinois Gas Company, in September
of 2002. Lori is involved with financial reporting
(internal and regulatory), cash management,
computer application enhancement, tax deposits/returns
and is responsible for all aspects of accounting
for both Illinois Gas Company and their subsidiary
USDI. Lori also manages gas supply for Illinois
Gas Company’s 10,000 customers. She
has a great relationship with the accounting
staff at the Illinois Commerce Commission
(ICC). She is responsible for monthly PGA
filings and the yearly PGA reconciliation
to the ICC. She prepared the required filings
and subsequent data requests for major rate
cases filed in 2004 and 2008. Lori has also assisted
municipal gas systems with PGA rate setting
and reconciliation.
Prior to entering the natural gas industry,
Lori began her career with a major distribution
company. Her experience ranged from cash management
to accounts payable to financial reporting.
Her most rewarding experience came from involvement
in two different ERP software implementations.
First during 1998-1999, she was the financial
lead on an Oracle implementation project.
The second came with a change in ownership
in 2001. She was the financial lead on an
SAP implementation project and became the
‘resident expert’ for all financial
modules and overlap modules, Order Entry and
Billing.
Lori majored in Accounting and received her
Bachelor of Science in Business degree from
Eastern Illinois University. She is a licensed
Certified Public Accountant in the State of
Illinois and is a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois
CPA Society. Away from work, Lori loves spending
time with her husband, son and daughter. She
enjoys walking, landscaping, reading and traveling.
