I know USDI does leak
surveys and cathodic protection work,
what else do they do.
A.
USDI can assist your natural gas operation
in any number of ways. We have experienced
registered professional engineers on staff
to assist you with
almost any project. A large group
of experienced, OQ qualified, staff
are also available to perform almost
any operating or maintenance task
for you at your facility.
Q.
Is USDI an engineering firm or a contractor?
A.
USDI is first and foremost an engineering
firm in the traditional sense. USDI engineers
have designed, provided specifications
for and inspected several large pipeline
projects in the Midwest. However, USDI
is unique among engineering forms in that
there are several utility professionals
also on staff and available to assist
you with operating and maintenance tasks
in addition to smaller or specialized
construction tasks. We feel this give
USDI an operator’s perspective that
we incorporate in our engineering and
design to give you the best solution possible.
Q.
Where is USDI located?
A.
Our main office is in Olney, IL.
This is in southeastern Illinois. Additionally,
USDI has offices and personnel located
in:
Illinois: Olney, Salem and Belleville
Missouri: Unionville
Q.
Can USDI assume all operational responsibilities for my natural gas system?
A.
USDI operates several intrastate transmission pipelines, local distribution
systems and master meter systems across the Midwest. Contact one of the engineers
on our team to discuss this possibility.
“I
have used USDI’s expertise in many ways
over the last 20 years. From the development of
our Operation and Maintenance Plan, leakage surveys,
cathodic protection and other code compliance
problems to the design and inspection of our high
pressure town feeder.”
